So far today we cleared out our dresser drawers and linen closet. I was amazed that M pretty much wanted to throw (or give) almost everything away; I was afraid he had a great attachment to his shirts!!! We basically went from 4 dressers to 2, but we know there will need to be at least one more clothing downsize as we'll probably only have one 4 drawer dresser in the RV.
Got rid of a lot of towels and sheets; only kept 2 sets of queen size for our current bed (hopefully RV will have a queen sized bed).
Feeling very good. So far not having any attachment to possession issues.
Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a whole lot of good things in 2014. You will be amazed at how much you do not need once you are full timing. The stuff you once thought was so important will now just be a distance memory and you will make realize how simple things can be.
Keep the faith!

You guys are going full-steam ahead! I hope our house/ranch sells quickly. But we won't be doing any updates, it'll have to go as-is. We'll see. We don't have inspections don't until Mar, hope to get the house up for sale in Apr. I am looking forward to being part of the class of 2014. We are looking forward to learning at the spring rally and actually bringing our rig to the fall rally! Hope to see you there!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Debbie - we inquired about selling as is, but the offers we were getting didn't even come close to paying off the mortgage, let alone having enough left over to buy even a rusted tin can!
ReplyDeleteWe went to a rally with Howard & Linda in 2011, when we first made the decision to full time and it was GREAT!!! Folks are a blast and you will definitely learn a lot. I hope we'll be able to bring our rig to the fall rally as well.
